As well as bylines in loads of national publications including the Telegraph, the Guardian, BBC, the Mirror and the Metro, I've had work published in most of the UK’s big regional news outlets. Most of what I’ve written these past few years champions the city of Birmingham, in publications including BirminghamLive and in nationals too. I’m so proud of that.

I’ve been qualified for ages and my work has been published all over. I get the biggest kick out of fun, uplifting content, not just for Brummies, but for everyone. Features and news for news avoiders, I guess you’d say.

And I think my readers enjoy it. On 3,484 of my Birmingham Mail stories in 2025, they spent 3.17 million minutes with me. That's like sitting down and reading non-stop for six years. I've won awards for my work, but the time I spend with my community is the biggest reward.

I specialise in features and opinion pieces and I’m no stranger to hard graft in the newsroom. Check my MuckRack for the latest!
